Our Story
ABOUT ATLAS DEVELOPMENT
On a summer afternoon, a group of junior mountain bikers found inspiration to create a student-run mountain biking and cycling development team: Atlas Development. Today, our thriving team proudly hosts a diverse collective of racers from across Southern California, all bound by a shared enthusiasm for the sport.
Youth Leadership
Here at Atlas, we pride ourselves in having a unique way of running our team. Though we do have adult coaches and other positions, the team is owned and run entirely by the riders. Every decision on the direction of the team is dictated not only by the specific athlete leadership, but also by a collective consensus of the riders. We strive to bring out our riders full potential. Often times this is a combination of elements both on and off the bike. Thus, giving our group of youth the opportunity to take the responsibility of team management into their own hands is a large part.
